Pat Davin signs for Town
Wythenshawe Town are delighted to announce that Pat Davin has signed a transfer form to sign for us subject to league approval.
The forward arrives at Ericstan Park with a tremendous goal scoring reputation, being one of the most prolific strikers in the NWCFL south division.
So, what was it that finally won him over to make the switch from red to blue?
“Kinsey spoke to me and he said “Do you fancy helping us push for promotion?” so it made sense to make the move.
“Town have had a top start to the season, winning games and scoring plenty of goals hopefully I can add more goals to that! I feel good and I’m looking forward to getting started.”
Manager James Kinsey has long admired Davin’s natural finishing ability and is keen to slot him into the squad to add even more fire power to this already ruthless side.
“Pat is someone we’ve been interested in for a while now. He’s an unreal centre forward and I believe he will be invaluable to us this season.
“I’ve had a few conversations with him and told him the plans and where he fits in and he is really keen to get involved. He knows we’ve got a great squad and he’s up for the competition.”
With key injuries playing a factor in the striker’s acquisition, Kinsey knew he had to bring in someone with enough quality to fit the bill.
“Liam Myers is out for a while as it is looking like he needs an op and Ste Yarwood has got a bad knee problem. They’re two big players that are going to be out for a while so it was important we acted quickly to ensure we have other opinions who are clinical in the final third.
“I don’t think there could have been a better option than Pat and I’m looking forward to watching him improve as a player with us.”
The 19th of December simply can’t come around soon enough for Town and with more freshness added to the squad, the Blues seem an even more menacing prospect.
