Wythenshawe Town are delighted to have completed the signing of Sam Heathcote.
Sam, the son of former Altrincham manager Graham Heathcote, has had experience of playing at a higher level with the likes of Hyde United, Ramsbottom, Altrincham and Trafford.
On joining Town Sam said "I left Trafford to go and play for Altrincham Reserves with my friends to get his enjoyment back for football. Now returning to play at a higher level, I have plenty of ambition as ultimately I want to secure promotion with the club".
Manager James Kinsey said “Sam is a big, physical presence that we’ve been lacking in the side. He’s a bonus signing as he can play as a centre-half but is also proven to have scored goals playing as a centre-forward. Since leaving Trafford he has been playing at a lower level to tick over and we are hopeful that he can hit the ground running.”
Sam will go straight into today’s squad for our game against Stone Old Alleynians.
