Wythenshawe Town are delighted to announce that winger Ash Leather has re-signed for

the club.

Wide-man Leather returns to Ericstan Park after a spell with North-West Counties Premier

Division Side West Didsbury and Chorlton, whom he joined in the summer of 2018. Having

dropped down a division to re-join Town Leather said “Wythenshawe Town is like my home.

All of the staff and everyone at the club have done a lot for me over the years so I am

excited to see what’s next to come”.

In his time at Brookburn Road, Leather made 13 appearances for West, including 8 man of

the match performances, with manager James Kinsey saying “Anybody who has been

around the counties this season will no doubt know about the threat he can pose, and I

believe we have bought in a lad who is really going to push on in the next two to three

Ash contacted me as he wants to push higher and believes we can help him with that. We

already have something in place moving forward, but we are delighted to bring him in to see

the season out with ourselves. He obviously left us just before the season started but that is

all water under the bridge. He loves the club having been here for a number of years and we

can’t wait for him to help us push on for the remainder of the season. Having lost Sam Marshall due to a bad knee injury just weeks after signing we have missed somebody with raw pace and believe we have that outlet at our disposal now”.

Ash can’t wait to get back playing for the club saying “Of course I’m excited to get back

playing for the club as this is where it all began. I’m just excited to help out the team and

help them push on for this final part of the season, whilst enjoying playing under the

coaches again. My hopes for the rest of the season are to improve as a player, whilst being

back here learning more and more every time I step on the pitch home or away”.
