Darius Palma signs

Wythenshawe Town are delighted to announce the signing of Darius Palma on a dual registration from Curzon Ashton.

The 21-year old local lad has made waves in non-league, scoring for Trafford against Town on their visit to Ericstan Park during our elimination from the Manchester Premier Cup - so Kinsey is all too aware of his footballing prowess.

“I’ve liked Darius for a while. He played for me for the Manchester FA Rep team and I’ve kept tabs on him since.” He continues. “He’s everything we like in a wide player. He’s quick, can beat a man and definitely knows where the net is. His work rate off the ball is a huge plus for us too.”

Bolstering a roster before the season begins is always at the top of any manager’s agenda and the Boss has no doubt that he has made a fine selection going into the 2020/21 camaign.

“Adding him is adding another match winner to the squad.” Kinsey goes on. “We’ve got an unbelievable group here but I wanted one more in before the season started to boost us a bit.”

Wanting to get as much experience under his belt, the fledgling winger has deemed it the right call to make the move to Timpson Road and will look to keep catching the eye of his employers in East Manchester.

“He made the step up to Curzon Ashton at the end of last season and has spent his pre-season there. He is looking to play regularly and enjoy his games.

“Cunny at Curzon still has him in his plans so we appreciate his support, but for now, he’s at an important stage in his career where he needs to be playing. He will be exceptional for us I’ve no doubt.”

If Palma lives up to the dazzling sentiments lauded upon him, he will doubtless make a worthy addition to this already immensely talented squad.
