Wythenshawe Town are delighted to announce the signings of Justin Pickering and Adam Farrand.
"With the number of injuries we have at the minute it was important we moved quickly to bring some new faces in" said Manager James Kinsey.
Many of the Town squad will be watching from the sideline over the next few weeks with Sam Fitzgerald is out for the season, Niall Rhodes needs an operation for a hernia, Sam Jones is out until January with a knee problem, Spencer Jenkinson pulled his hamstring in training last week, Grant Spencer has an ongoing issue with his foot, Sam Marshall is out for eight to ten weeks after picking up a knee injury last Saturday, Deven Golden has a problem with his knee that rules him out for two weeks and Liam Brownhill suffered a broken toe in the midweek fixture which will keep him out for a minimum of four weeks.
"Whilst it isn’t ideal adding lads at this time in the season, we are delighted with the standard of the two lads we’ve bought in. Adam was my captain when I was the manager of the Manchester FA County Rep Team so I know him and his family well. He is a midfield player that likes to get on the ball and is very good in the air." commented the Town boss on the player who moves to Ericstan Park from New Mills.
"Justin is someone who we have been watching for a while. He has scored seven in fourteen already this season for Prestwich Heys and a lot of the appearances have been off the bench. He is a quick winger that should allow us balance with his left foot."
"We are looking to add one or two more in this next week and then pray for no more injuries."
Both players go straight into the Town squad for today's fixture at Stockport Town, and will look to help their new team mates secure all three points on the road.
