Anghel on loan from Ashton

Injury-plagued Town have had their hand forced once again into making a splash for a new recruit with Ionut Casian-Anghel joining the ranks.

The attacking midfielder joins us on loan from Ashton United until the 12th of September, as a short-term solution to the absentee burden Kinsey is having to shoulder.

“Ash Leather is out until mid-September and Aaron Dwyer suffered a sprained ankle after returning from a knee injury for the West Didsbury & Chorlton game.

“It was important we brought in an attacking midfield option to boost us. We spoke to Jody and he’s been a great help in getting him in. He goes straight into today’s squad.”

Despite not having the chance to ingratiate himself with either the staff or players, Kinsey is trusting his gut and hoping that his experience in the National League North will be enough to slip seamlessly into the set up.

His addition adds yet another dynamic to Town's ranks and again encourages yet more inter-squad jostling for the central role, surely only resulting in further wholesale improvements throughout.

As the old adage goes, every cloud has a silver lining and as much as we wish our players a rapid recovery, we can for the time being look forward to what this latest Ericstan Park novice has to offer… today.
