Rutter is our man!
Wythenshawe Town are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Jordan Rutter which is subject to league approval.
He will be joining from division one north side, Chadderton F.C., and he has previously worked with manager James Kinsey.
Rutter has also previously played alongside current Town players Lee Gregory and Matthew Bryan, so he is somebody that should have an instant impact.
Something which is necessary for Town’s promotion push, as we are currently inside the promotion places, with the direction of this club being what attracted Rutter.
“It’s great to join Wythenshawe with the ambition the club has, not just for this season, but for the next few years and where they want to be,” Rutter said.
“With the talent the squad has, it is going to improve me as a player individually and hopefully I can help with the push for promotion.
“I’ve played with Lee [Gregory] for Manchester county when [James] Kinsey was assistant manager which was a very successful team getting into the FA Youth Cup county final.
“I have also played previously with Matty Bryan at Bacup Borough, so knowing a few of the lads should help me settle in quickly.”
He is the type of midfielder that will be dominant in the middle of the park and be very useful in controlling the match.
“His ball retention is very good,” Kinsey said. “He loves to go win a second ball and he has a loud voice on him – how he plays suits us.
“He’s somebody who will improve the group massively and I think we can take him up another few gears.
“We will have him straight in the squad tomorrow and I’m sure he will hit the ground running.”
Tomorrow, Town restart their league campaign after it was suspended due to Covid-19, with a home match against Cheadle Nomads F.C.
