  • Town take on Neighbouring Nomads in local affair

Town face Cheadle Heath Nomads on Tuesday night at the ProSeal Stadium with James Kinsey’s side looking to build on their impressive start to pre-season following their thrashing of Stockport Georgians on Saturday.

With impressive individual performances on Saturday from both Aaron Dwyer who bagged a brace and Matty Bryan scoring a superb solo goal, the pair will look to pose a similar challenge on Tuesday evening as they step up the preparation for the upcoming season.

Tuesday’s opponents will offer Kinsey’s side another good test as Town look to get themselves ready for the upcoming season, with the first game of the campaign fast approaching it’s a great opportunity for the squad and the gaffer to test out fitness on a matchday.

Having had an impressive season last campaign Wythy will be looking to build on this and hopefully go even further this season having made a fantastic impression of themselves, getting to the quarter final of the FA vase and being just a point off second any improvement on last season could see them reach new heights.

With 4 more pre-season  fixtures taking place after Tuesday nights clash its important that Town find the right blend between fitness and recovery, after this there is the small matter of Altringham of the National League, it offers us a great chance to test ourselves against an opponent competing at the top of the non-league pyramid.

Cheadle Nomads enjoyed a relatively close 2-1 win on Saturday vs their reserve team however will face a much tougher test as they face Town who come from the league above, one thing that is apparent is how local the teams are to each other with Cheadle neighbouring Wythenshawe this is a great opportunity for both sets of fans to get down and enjoy a friendly local affair.

Wythy will be wanting to build as much momentum as they can leading up to the season ahead to make a positive start and carry on the excellent form off the back end of last season having lost just once in the league since December last year, if they can keep the momentum going then Town fans will be in for a fantastic season

With the Chicken Hut Faithful in fine voice on Saturday we hope to see you all make the short journey to Cheadle and support the lads in this tasty affair.
