Two new faces at Town Two new faces at Town

Capitalising on opportunities to strengthen the squad and bring creative flair to the side, Town have made two signings a few weeks into their Division One South league campaign.

23-year old midfielder Jake Parker joins Town from North West Counties Premier side 1874 Northwich.  Having started his football at Fleetwood Town, Jake has played at several clubs including Colwyn Bay, Ramsbottom United, Witton Albion and Irlam.  A creative player of his pedigree, with an eye for goal is always sought after, which makes his arrival a winning signing for Town.  Manager James Kinsey says, “Since he became available, Jake has had numerous clubs after him.  I am thrilled he has decided to join us at Town – he’s a potential crowd favourite to be sure.”

Joining Town on dual registration with Evo-Stik League West Division side Atherton Collieries, is 18-year old Venancio Da Silva; an exciting young talent who was recently released from Stoke City.  Venancio played Academy football with Benfica and Manchester United before moving to Stoke, and featured in the Portugal Under 17 side last year.  Kinsey describes Venancio as a ‘tricky player’ thanks to the winger’s quick feet, excellent vision and creative style.  We look forward to seeing him action!
