Matty Bryan commits until 2022
We are delighted to announce that Matthew Bryan has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2021/22 season.
Bryan has been unbelievable for the club since joining and had scored eleven goals in just seven league games before it was curtailed last month. He has proved a real hit with the club and had a lot of interest, which was to be expected given his outstanding performances.
Speaking on his commitment to the club, Matty said "We had a good chat recently and I want to be a part of what the club is trying to achieve. It's a good club, with good management and a class set of lads. I'm really enjoying my football and I hope we can win a few things when the competetive stuff returns. I want to be the top scorer next season, again, so I'll be making sure I come back as fit as possible to be at my peak."
One man who is delighted with the news is manager, James Kinsey. "Keeping hold of top, top centre forwards is so hard to do at any level in non league. There's always somebody from higher who will be watching on. We wanted to get this one done early to avoid any issues in the summer and we're obviously buzzing to have him here. If he can maintain his fitness levels, he's still got a good few seasons of scoring goals in non league. He's the best about at stretching teams whilst being so clinical at the same time. We're lucky to have him and it speaks volumes about what we are trying to achieve, and our intentions in doing so."
Matty has been instrumental in our recent community work with schools too and we are set to announce our new community projects in the next few weeks. Hopefully in the not to distant future, we can welcome fans back in to Ericstan Park to see plenty more goals from our number nine.
