Ground improvements

Wythenshawe Town are delighted to announce that we will be making major ground improvements commencing immediately.

We have a three-stage ground improvement plan and stage one will be implemented after we received confirmation of funding from the Football Foundation.

Stage one works will include;

-       a new turnstile entrance on Altrincham Road allowing there to be two entrance points to the stadium

-       New, covered spectator canopy to run from the away dugout to the corner flag

-       Hard standing behind the net at Altrincham road end

-       Pathway right around the ground to allow spectators to watch games from wherever they please

It’s a major coup for the club as we look to provide supporters with the best facilities around to watch non-league football. We hope to look at commencing with stages two and three in the not so distant future.

Manager James Kinsey has expressed his gratitude to the Football Foundation and as is anticipant of what the future holds for Town.

“We’ve been waiting for the go ahead for a while now but we’re really grateful to the Football Foundation for supporting us with this.

“The work that they do is great for clubs like ourselves. It’s going to transform the place and will be another step to get to where we want to be.

“It’s a frustrating time for us on the pitch with no games being played, but I think it shows our ambitions as a club that we are still working tirelessly to make improvements where we can.

“It’s all about taking it one step at a time. This is stage one. We’re excited to see the transformation.”

We are excited to see the finished article and appreciate the support of the Football Foundation.
